Got my hips pierced tonight (7/18) after we closed up (around midnight). Another employee got his conches done and then James did my hips. Oh man they are SO fuckin pretty. I'm excited

Stuff that happened a while ago:
-theredbaron came to visit
-getsomekip took me to lunch in his (awesome) car
-Urban XChange finally hired me. The woman who I mentioned hired me in that other entry got fired before I was officially hired, so I had to bug them a ton some more until finally I got an interview with the owner and he hired me. He kept mentioning/admiring my persistence. Damn straight.
-My parents conducted a 2 hour talk with me about their concern about my body modification and how they want it to stop and I'm alienating myself from society. All while I was naked and wrapped in a blanket.)

I started work at Urban XChange today! Huzzah!
I had to take my cheek piercings out though, which is fucking ridiculous. I'm working in a piercing parlor and I had to put retainers in my cheek piercings. I've only had them pierced about 7 months, so I hope the retainers don't piss them off too much. The left one was already flaring up anyway. No "extreme" piercings are allowed for the employees, even though they offer everything from earlobe to surface piercings there. They don't want to intimidate all the tourists and 15 year old girls who come in with their mothers to get their bellybuttons pierced. I get 50% employee discount on everything though, so I'm going to get my hips pierced, just above Lupin. I'm excited. They'll probably reject, so I figure I'll get them pierced pretty shallow sometime next week, then when they start to reject, I'll take them out, and I can get them repierced a little later behind the scar tissue and it should help keep them in place. OH MAN. I can't wait. I might get some wrist piercings on my last day or something since I can't work with them unless I cover them up.
And I get 50% off at their tattoo parlor too, so now I'm thinking I might get that chest piece after all. I keep thinking about it and I REALLY want it.
Oh yeah...when I told my mom I'd have to take my cheek piercings out for my job, before I could finish that I'd be wearing retainers in them, she screamed with joy and started jumping up and down. I got pissed off and called her an asshole and told her to go gloat in the corner, far away from me. It was funny and she apologized a lot.
So I started today, I worked from 5pm to 2am. I made about $20 in tips and commission from doing henna, so that was cool. I'm starting out at $5.75 an hour, and after 30 days I move up to $6.00. My feet are fucking KILLING me. In the 9 hours I worked I spent maybe 40 minutes sitting/kneeling, and that was because I was doing henna. Oh, how they hurt.
But there's no dress code for hair! So I can still dye it light blue like I want to.
