Woot! It's 4:45 AM and I'm back from the rockin' est New Year's Eve party EEEEVVVVEERRR! Paul Van Dyk was frickin' AWESOME!!!!! Christopher Lawrence ruled, as usual. And, Deep Dish put out the most amazing set! The event was organized REALLY well. There were no lines for ANYTHING in the VIP area. There was an open bar in the back. The restrooms were kept relatively clean and there was not waiting for those either, even in the regular stage areas. The L.A. sports arena, where the event was held is the biggest venue in southern california and it was PACKED! There was your usual crowd of e-tards and far more half naked people than I've ever seen at a rave (most of them under 18), including one girl wearning nothing but a pair of underwear masquerading as shorts, and a bra made out of candy, the kind you find in porn shops, so I've heard (I could not make this up, that was her outfit) ! And, also, two people almost died, but other than that, it rocked :-) You're probably wondering how the two people almost died.... one girl overdosed on something, and I don't think it was e. She was convulsing/having siezures hard core, then vomited, then lost consciousness, then was revived, strapped to a gurnie and carted off to an ambulence, all the while still convulsing violently. Not sure what happened to her, eventually. I think she will live. But, she's most likely in a mental ward or hospital, or jail at the moment. Poor girl. The other was a boy - very similar story, only I never saw him revived. He was carted off, and did not appear to have regained consciousness at any point during which the paramedics were working on him. Poor boy. So, let this be a lesson to all you would be e-tards, druggies, and South Park fans out there. Drugs are bad... mmmm-k?
