i cannot tell you how excited i am for this day. it might very well be the best day of my life. and it only involves friends and no love conquests. which is huge for me.

first i will meet lanemeyer for za at papalinos. never been there. supposed to be delicious.

then i will go get my haircut by my great creative friend Dino. expect color and length changes. drastic ones.

then i will go shopping for something to wear tonight.

then i will meet my loves Whit and Dino at Proof on Main to impress her swanky Harvard AND Stanford grad sister. just as an example of how different this woman's life is from ours', she works for the state department and attended an intimate memorial party for her boss at the ritz carlton in d.c. last week. Hilary Clinton was the night's host. Yeah. kinda nervous and excited at the same time to meet her. Whit's been my best friend for somewhere close to 15 years and we've never met before. well, only briefly.

just, check this shit out, because DAMN i cannot wait for these cocktails. i'm thinking the bourbon apple cider to start. old forester birthday bourbon that tastes like vanilla and clove mixed with fresh apple cider and lemon. YES PLEASE!
