I feel like my plan for the next year has changed every day for the past seven days. This proves to be very stressful. I think we've settled on a plan now. Sorry that all sounds cryptic but when another person's history and story is involved you can't just reveal details freely.
I realized I would turn my audio on more, because strangely I've been asked to do so, but I like to sing along too much. Wouldn't want to make any of the lovely (starting to question this) chatters go deaf. Right now we'd be listening to something v. mainstream, but, as you wish. I do rather enjoy this song, when I still allowed myself to play viola I LOVED playing with this song. The song is Crown of Love.
I might be working at a place called Proof on Main, although I'm hesitant as it might mess up a schedule I need to set up for my loved one. If I don't work there I might be working at a place called the Sports Attic. Shoot me. A job is a job is a job, right? At least when you don't have any sort of path formed concerning your career.
Made a pizza the other night. See, I have this best friend. Her name is Whitney, before I deleted most of my profile some of you (who am I kidding, none of you) probably noticed she was one of the 5 things I could not live without. It's funny that I put her as part of that list, because for living in the same city we hardly ever see each other. Anyway Sam Adams Cherry Wheat Ales were cracked open and after months of no hang out, we were hanging out. And it was beautiful. The local radio was blasting throughout the house, I was kneading whole wheat dough, she was slicing red, green, and yellow peppers. We were discussing our love for achewood.com, if you aren't familiar, get that way. Cigarettes, all of which were mine since she's "quitting", were smoked. Pot was NOT smoked. It was just sort of lovely, just us. Finally. The pizza ended up being the whole wheat crust that we tried to season unsuccessfully with toppings including peppers, baby portobello mushrooms, sauted spinach and garlic, black olives, locally grown tomatoes, and basil. It was quite tasty, minus the crust.
Thing that made me sad this week: muxtape.com got shut DOWN indefinitely. :'( i feel like mixtapes are the oldest form of sharing and introducing folks to new music. it's my understanding, and i have used the site, that the playlists are all very short lived and come from the account owners music library. there is no way to pirate the music that i've found, so why. i even found the owner of muxtape's tumblr once and he said that there had been no artist or label complaints to date, that most were actually excited of what could come from growth of the site and its potential ability to bring new music to consumers. oh the RIAA...guess pandora is next. i think i remember reading somewhere that the president reported that they have difficulties paying the royalties, or something. obviously i'm not familiar with all the technicalities and what not. i guess i just don't really understand why these sites hurt anyone. if anything muxtape has inspired me to buy the music from the artists i dug that i found by clicking on one random playlist or another. and that has happened five or six times.
I need to make an ongoing list of films I need to see, I did this once with SkottiePhaust, but of course I lost it. Two are the original Funny Games, and La Haine. Add more in comments if you think there is something I should absolutely see, I keep a pretty open mind so feel free to suggest whatever from whenever.
Guess that's all. Thought I'd write a decently long blog this time. Also, look at my last blog for a plea for testimonials. <3
i leave you with something hysterical, the amazingness that is garfield minus garfield.
