Holy crap. What a week.
Everything bad seemed to happen at once. Car troubles, an ER visit for myself, my doggie needing surgery, a (rather grudging and made in desperation) house deal falling through, and to just rub salt in the wounds, an incredibly busy and crazy week at work requiring late nights (or all nighters towards the end). Come Friday morning I was just stressed, sleep deprived, and worry ridden to the point of despair.
But then things started to go right. My dog pulled through the surgery very well (thankfully! It was risky due to her wee size and advanced age), which was by and far the best news of the day. But not the only good news. My car repairs were fully warranty covered, so well, I could afford to eat this week. And to top it all off, as I was taking my little girl home from the vet, I spotted a realtor putting up a sign on a very nice little house I had actually been wishing would go up for sale every time I passed by. I arranged a tour for Saturday morning, and kept my fingers crossed.
Even on two hours sleep, everthing was great once I got into work, and even though it turned out to be a thoroughly insane 20 hour marathon, I felt good when I left. I managed to stay awake long enough to head out and meet the realtor for a tour of the house.. it was.. beautiful, and the price was just fantastic. So I made my offer, headed home, showered up, slunk into bed.. and.. couldn't sleep.. So I pissed the rest of the day away watching firefly DVDs and goofing off on the web.
I finally did get to sleep around er.. midnight maybe, and woke up this morning after a night of thoroughly bizarre dreams (Sitting in a giant space ship, and hanging around, and watching TV shows with friends. Yes. On a giant space ship. In a room that looked like an apartment I had in college. On a giant space ship. er what was THAT about?), feeling ... friggin amazing! And to add further mirth.. I found out at about 7PM.. my bid was accepted!
Needless to say, I feel good today!
