So i'm excited to share, After a 7 and a half month Hiatus... I finally returned to the stage last weekend, No words are capable of explaining how great the feeling was.
Long story somewhat short; In all the jobs i've had, being a musician is by far without a doubt the hardest one. However! Being the determined individual I am, a small hiccup will not slow me down from achieving my dreams!
I was in a band "I Empire" (Hardcore/Deathcore) for 2 and a half years, I dumped my heart and soul into it, pushed my hardest and eventually got the attention of very well known and successful local promoters, bands and record companies. We were on a fast track to success, being asked to open for huge bands and playing almost every weekend somewhere new! Eventually tours started coming our way, bigger and better things that only led to my worst fear. We hadn't made it yet, and to put it nicely.. Fellow musicians liked to believe we were much bigger and better than we really were.. They let their ego's get much bigger than the stage, fights broke out and before we knew it... We all hated each other... There was no more team work, no more friendship, and then no more band. I had tried to hold it together as long as I could until there was literally just nothing left.. my baby, my child, my hard work and money all gone.. everything crumbled before me.
Honestly I wasn't sure if i'd do it again, as I mentioned.. I took a good loooong 7 and a half month Hiatus.. finally to return to a stage.. it feels great! And i'm more confident now, than I ever have been before. Working with TRUE musicians is really a wonderful feeling.
