Hello everyone! I've had a pretty eventful summer so far already so I figured this would be a great topic for my first homework assignment! @missy
I started this summer off by shooting my very first SG set with the beautiful and amazingly talented @alissa Words can't express how elated I felt to finally be fulfilling a long time dream of mine. It was such an exciting and surreal experience! I can't wait to show you all... but for now here's a BTS shot to tide you over ;)
Spent a weekend in Orgeon. Flew into Portland- had a crazy drunken night in the city that ended with me falling asleep in our hotel bathtub. (hey, go big or go home!) After a hearty breakfast and a couple Bloody's Marys (duh) we made our way to Eugene. Spent the day wandering through the neighborhoods, stopping by the the local breweries along the way. Purchased some sweet Oregon green from a super cool artist who lived in a studio above an Italian bistro and gave us a bunch of printed stickers of her paintings. Ate, drank and sang the rest of the night away. Leaving was pretty rough. Hard to say goodbye to such an amazing and beautiful place (especially when you are coming home to 100 degree weather)
Next up, camping trip to Bear Creek Canyon with da homies to escape the heat and go a lil' bananas...
After that, it was off to Colorado for Sonic Bloom! and what an epic trip it was (yes, pun intended) Somehow we made the 13 hour drive there in a tiny pick up truck that's probably about as old as I am. Met so many beautiful, loving souls. Amazing music. Delicious food. Gorgeous artwork. Aerial dancers. Fire twirling. Hula hoops. Lovely weather (actually I got pretty fuckin cold at night, can't lie) and drugs. Lots of drugs. Haha ;) It was such a blast and exactly what I needed to clear my head.
The past few months have been a whirlwind of fun, adventure, self awakening. Although I just recently ended the relationship I was in (which obviously is never a fun thing to go through) I actually feel happier than I have in a long time. I'm finally ready to take charge of my life and do whatever it is that I want to do and not let anyone or anything get in the way. Life is for the living! So cheers to that! And wherever the rest of the summer takes me!
