glad somebody caught the boris joke

Or, if they're already IN the grave, you can dig down to get them.

(This is one case where SG's weird commenting system might create artificial interest.)

That's a big parasol up there.

isn't it crazy how tokyo is exactly like Tokyo's supposed to be?

isn't it crazy how I can't get throught the most casual comment on SG without using italics?

- These are spiffy pictures.

- A dog named Doo-doo?!

- We are jealous of your whereabouts today (Saturday). It's great weather for an outing, but we're not going any further than the Target, I think.

Nope. I knit them with lace yarn and size zero needles.

back to the tran tran

I had this nice multicolored yarn, and I decided to make a spiral scarf. So I did. Unfortunately, as I was almost done, I realized that the mostly-brown colors of the yarn made the scarf look quite intestinal.

Do I want a tripe scarf? I can't decide whether to unravel it or to embrace the colon-scarf-wearing weirdo within.

what should...

Wear it proudly.

Feeling generally disgruntled here. Way to alienate Boston, SG.

This is not a Japan story. Rather, it is a traffic story straight from traffic hell (Boston).

did your feet swell a lot with your tats?
velocity:
There's a gigantic graveyard and three churches on the way to my school, and the only time I'm ever late for work is when I get stuck behind a funeral procession. Unfortunately, it was happening so often that I now have to leave ten minutes early just in case.

The Belly of the Buddha

Two Japanese students were showing some of the group around Kyoto. After a harrowing day of temples and city busses, half of the group, vocally lead by a cute but somewhat annoying undergraduate, decided to go to the 100 Yen store to buy cheap Japanese crap. Not that I don't like cheap Japanese crap or anything, but I preferred going...

Apparently packing light is suspicious to customs officers.

My flight on the way to Japan arrived about a half hour after the flight of most of the participants. So, in order not to miss the bus to the hotel, I knew I had to haul ass through customs and immigration. (They like to leave on time. I would have been left behind.) I decided that...

Very true. I was having trouble finding the Consumer Reports "Gang" issue, though. Let's just hope I made the right choice. Or the right choice was made for me, more accurately.

yeah custom officials don't like me either. it might have someting to do with the fact that i'm big and suspicious looking biggrin
