well i got my from my grandmothers funeral ok. i had trouble leaving the country and they gave me a little hassle returning but i made it through. my resident alien card is so old that the people at the checkout counter here probobly had not seen one like that and they wanted proof i was from mexico. they let me through and said in houston i have to get some paperwork that was going to be notorized and cost about $150.00. when i got there they knew what was going on and let me through without incident. on the way home the us customs guy held up my card and said "this is an old immigration card without an expiration date on it, this will be the last time you travel with it" i was thinking "wow give a guy a badge and he swells up n you". i said ok and moved on.
it was nice returning to mexico after 15 years. i guess, as always when someone dies, i had regrets about not bringing my family to visit there and stay with my grandma. i do plan on taking them and staying with my cousin. hopefully sometime in the spring. i was amazed at how everything has changed there. i think it has changed for the better. there are so many eating places and stores that are american.
well i guess ill start catching up on fotosets, i got way behind. have a good day!

Whenever I travel up to Vancouver the Canadian customs agents are always SO much nicer than the US ones I encounter upon my return. What is their deal?
