another weekend yay!! i believe this will be our last week in this apartment. our walk through on thursday went well. we had about two pages of fixes for them to do but it was mostly touching up paint etc. just little things. after moving so many times in my life i believe for this move we are going to pay movers to do it. i have not one bit of desire to drive back and forth with things in my truck. anyway i cant wait to move in.

last sunday we spent easter at a friends house. it was fun and relaxing for me. about 5 p.m. we were starting to roll up and get ready to go home. the kids were having water balloon fights. well my son slipped and hit his head. he came running to me and when i picked him up i noticed the top of his ear was split about half an inch. right then i knew our day wouldnt be over soon. we went to the emergency room and four hours later got to go home. my boy got 7 stitches in his ear and one on his head behind his ear. he had hit the corner of a brick. he was sedated so the doctor could stitch him up. i felt sad because when it kicked in he had a glazed over look. i was holding his hands and looking him right in the eyes but he just stared past me. i would have given anything to switch places with him. funny how you wish the pain upon yourself when its your kid. anyway he is fine and calls his ear "his monster ear".

i am working on a building at UNLV right now. after working on piddly stuff the last year it feels great to be "back on the iron". i really missed working with a crane, rigging up beams and columns. the loud noise the iron makes when you unload a truck and it smacks together. god i love being an ironworker. i dont want to go back on school jobs. its easy and it pays the same but its not the same.

well i hope to look at furniture today for the new house. we need to decide so we can order it and have it ready for whenever we move in. have a great weekend!
