a lesson in good times:
yesterday took the s.l.f. (not the band), back to her car in a city that is far and that i'd rather not drive to in general. she says, 'take this highway back. it'll be quicker than all that traffic we passed on the way.' fine.
it wasn't. massive wreck, then a bigger storm. that all was intersected w/ a blown radiator hose (thank god for duct tape). me the drowned rat in the truck then getting stuck in dallas cowboys week one traffic. 25 min drive ended up 1.5 hours. went and replaced the stupid hose and took a shower to get ready for dinner at her house for her birthday. that house is even further out that highway than where i came from. thank god there was a steak involved. hung out, met the folks, had a good time there at least. drove all the way home again and crashed.
now today going into work wondering if i'm going to have a job if someone ratted on me. there is a somewhat hazy memory of me blatantly breaking glasses in the bar and threatening to cloud up and rain on some college fuck that was rubbing me the wrong way.
so, today i am officially giving up on rumpleminze. it isn't working for me. thinking of switching to tequila.
ugh.
