i love to sleep but i hate going to bed and i hate waking up. im convinced that passing out on the couch while watching tv or reading or listening to music is the most natural way for my body to rest. its not that i dont like sleeping in my bed. if im awake enough to decide to stop doing what ever it is that im doing, go to my room, get undressed, and go to bed - then im too awake to sleep. i usually end up lying there for atleast an hour, stairing at the darkness, thinking. and although thinking is generally considered a good thing, its not good when your trying to fall asleep.
