So the band Northlane from Australia is coming out with a new album soon. I was worried about it because they had changed lead singers, and that is never an easy transition for a band. Adrian had also brought a lot to the table both in terms of talent and creativity. However, I heard the first single off of the album, Rot, and was cautiously optimistic that the band could move on from Adrian and really incorporate Marcus, the new singer, into the music. However, I still hadn't bought in all the way. Well, a few days ago they released a new song from the album, and it's got me completely sold. The new song is Leech.
The song has a different kind of sound than anything Northlane's done before, and it really takes advantage of the skills Marcus has. It doesn't stray completely from the previous sound of Northlane, but instead pushes forward in a new and exciting direction. I'm hooked.
