So, my aunt finds out she has colon cancer last month.

She schedules surgery. They tell her it goes well and she heads home, expecting a full recovery.

But then, she's not feeling well. Lots of pain and whatnot, so she goes back to the hospital.

They take a look and discover her intestines have gangrene. Turns out they accidentally cut off the circulation to her intestines during the surgery. So, they remove several feel of gangrene intestines.

Then they cut off her left foot. Because they sort of cut of the circulation to her foot, as well.

Then they send her home, telling her it's all taken care of now.

Then she dies.

We weren't that close and hadn't seen each other in about 20 years, but that is seriously fucked up.

A couple of years ago my uncle died very unexpectedly during a routine procedure. My aunt was so traumatized that there was no autopsy and no lawsuit, but if it had been up to any of the rest of us there sure as hell would have been.

I'm glad to hear that the family is looking into legal remedies.

yea, thats the medical profession.
my grandmother was ill, and knowing full well she was alergic to the dye the then utilized for xrays... they shot her up with it...she lost both legs and eventually died after years of suffering...so im told. this all happened when i was cookin in the oven
