I saw 21 Grams last night. It depressed me. It makes me think that life is like waiting for a bus when you don't have a bus schedule. You're really not sure when the bus is coming. And as you wait you try to do something to occupy your mind. Read. Think. Stare at people. Make conversation with someone. Curse. Spit. Complain. Get upset. Laugh at something you see. Feel good about something. Feel bad about something. It's like not knowing why you're there or even knowing where it is you're at. You just know that sooner or later that bus is coming and you have to get on it. And when you look down the road and see it approaching it makes you think about the fact that you knew you had a limited amount of time. You knew that. And you reflect on how you spent it. And you wonder if you made the most of it. Because that's all we really have is some time. There's no empirical meaning to it. It's just there for us. We know death is eminent. So what is it we're searching for anyway?
