It feels like I've been sick for a week now with this throat thing. Has it been a week?

I guess I started feeling sick on Friday. That seems right. It might have been Thursday. But I know I definitely felt sick on Friday. It didn't stop me from drinking a bottle of vodka with a friend of mine that night, though it probably should have. It also didn't stop me from going to a party the next day, though again it probably should have. It did stop me from driving back to Phoenix on Sunday for Father's Day. I felt bad about that, but I really didn't know if I would be able to stand six hours of driving. I got in the car Monday and drove to Phoenix a day late, and still sick. Then I drove back here the next day, yesterday. Now here I am -- and guess what? I have no voice. Not enough to finish a complete sentence. I'm a mute.

I hate this.
