Fuck its been a crazy week. I am fucking so glad its the weekend.
I had 2 midterms this week and a major project due. The project turned out really cool. It was a set design for "Hedda Gabler", but I did it sort of abstract. I like the way the model turned out, but it kinda drained the life out of me (if you couldn't already tell from the ghetto journal entry).
Oh well, I will take some time and recoup this weekend... and by recoup i mean drink....

I just noticed that you were asking about Central St. Martins in the Theatre group-
I went there to visit back in 2001 to see if I wanted to go there for set design- I have been a designer since college and thought for a while that I wanted to study in London. It's an awesome place- There's a small studio room for the group of about 15 students. They work on projects that are based on design for performance- some of their projects are more like art installations than theatre sets.
The guy who runs it (I am not sure if he still does) was really laid- back. I went to visit and interview and he looked at my portfolio and told me right away that I would be accepted if I applied. I didn't go because it was going to be really expensive. It's at least 20 grand per year and on top of that the price of living in london is pretty steep- but if you want a good training program- I think it would be way cool.
Good luck
K
