So I did my first mission today with the Honor Guard. It was a small christian burial. It surprised me how fast it went; I was expecting more of a service (jewish services are almost always graveside) and so after two quick prayers the priest stepped aside and we went to work. The widow burst into loud sobs not when taps was played, but when we lifted the flag off the coffin and snapped it out flat before we started to fold.

My day:
Arrive at 0930 to armory
0930-1030 Uniform prep
1030-1230 Travel
1230-1315 Planning and dry run
1315-1335 Service
1335-1535 Travel
1535-1545 After Action Review
1545 Go home
