hiccups. real bad.
i usually find them amusing more than annoying. cause isnt it funny how when you stop thinking about them, they go away. not funny haha but peculiar. how you cant get rid of them on your own but as soon as you forget they are there, they are gone.
tip of the day:
if you're gonna talk about the BP oil spill in the gulf of mexico, please. just do your research and dont just talk out of your ass.
bp is fortunately not run by the devil. are they incompetent?...maybe. did they make a lot of bad assumptions? probably. are they evil? no.
stop saying they arent trying to stop this. thats billions of dollars of profit pouring out into the gulf and i would bet you everything i own that the execs also know that an oil spill in the ocean = lost money for their company. i guarantee they have some of the best minds working on this not for environmental reasons, but so that they can minimize both the direct physical loss of profits in the spill, and then the subsequent loss of profits from the bad public image they have which continues to get worse every day (there really is such a thing as bad pr).
why isnt it stopped yet you ask? simple, you cant just put a cork into the oil spill like its a bottle of wine. the awesome amounts of pressure coming out of that little hole in the bottom of the ocean floor is preventing anything from blocking the leaks. thats why they are 200 ft (last i heard) away from completing their first relief well. thats the first of two. yes it will take two new wells to relieve enough pressure so that they can in effect "cork the bottle". the one thing that every expert agrees on is that they need to drill the relief wells and that it would take a month or three to do depending on who you asked (which they are right on schedule with by the way).
i'm not defending them. they're a bunch of idiots as far as i'm concerned and they are temporarily ruining one of my favorite places to swim. i knew ahead of time that all of the booming was being done incorrectly (which a lot more people know now thanks to some youtube videos). but while their reaction has been pretty bad as far as cleanup goes, they are right on target with getting it stopped up (which again is contrary to popular belief but none the less true). between the two, i think stopping it is more important at this point.
