i know i've talked about me thinking about the coast guard for quite a while now, but i'm starting to sway back towards the army (my original choice) and the reason is that they offer so many more jobs (think hundreds of thousands compared to like 25). so that way i can pick a career that interests me, get trained in it, shoot some awesome weapons while i'm there, and then have the option to either go into the private sector or keep on in the military as a career. but the thing i'm going to change is i think i'm going to go national guard and just volunteer for full time active duty. it gives me the option for the training from the army, and gives me the option to follow a career whenever i see fit. oh, and i'll be doing officer candidate school too. so its all good. and if i really feel the need to use a boat, the army has boats too...not like big awesome ones, but they still have some.

on a completely un-related note. i read this and love it. you should read it too.
10 most important things they dont teach you in school
SECOND EDIT
friday i'm going down to providence with my recruiter so I can take the ASVAB (armed services vocational aptitude battery) which is basically the military's IQ test. i took it like 5 or 6 years ago when i first thought i was going in (decided on a civilian career instead...mistake) and i scored a perfect. so we'll see this time around. i know i cant top my last score and i had one or two lucky educated guesses in there. but i'm pretty confident none the less.

it started when i was like 11? my little brother's grandparents were Red Sox and Braves fans, and just got into them there. And I didn't really ever like the Cincinnati Red's. So
the tradition sticks. And also, I fkn love Youkilis......he's a Cincinnati native
