Watching the news always gets me pissed off, made me think of this which I wrote a year or so ago, hope somebody enjoys.

Puppetry

I'm a puppet on a string, on a string.
My movment controled by unseen hands
I do a dance to another mans tune

I'm a puppet on a string, on a string
without it I might collapse
how did I get into this trap?
Pretend that its not there
just pass another beer

I look around, I see I'm not the only one
surrounded by puppets on strings, on strings
their puppet hands and eyes occupied with their puppet things
Think that its all their idea, don't see the hands

I'm a puppet on a string, on a string
Maybe someday I'll pull a pinocchio,
be a real boy.
