I took several days' vacation during the past week. I thought that I really needed some time off of work: I was feeling tired all of the time; I was having trouble focusing; I felt achy; etc.
My wife and I did the usual things that people do when on vacation around the 4th of July in the States: drove a lot, visited her family, ate bad food, watched things being exploded, drove some more, ate more bad food, visited my family, drove some more, ate some more bad food, had long talks about constipation, etc.
Now that we're home, I feel tired, I feel sort of disengaged and uninterested in going back to work, and my lower back hurts from being in the car for hours on end.
If this were a comic strip, I'd make a joke about needing a vacation from my vacation. Ha! Those comic strip writers: they're sooooo funny.
I wonder why you don't hear more about them getting shot.
