I think it's a great idea so thought this week I'd give it a go :) I also decided that seeing as my other blog posts are usually member only, that my only public posts from now on will be these weekly topic posts. My perfect last supper.....
Well, I could be good and stick to the perfect low-FODMAP meal seeing as I'm pretty much not allowed to eat most things due to my health. I have this as an option as I've got pretty could at making low-FODMAP recipes. Check out my stuffed aubergines (eggplants for the non-uk readers)
However, then I started thinking about all the food I love that I shouldn't eat. Well what does it matter if it's my last supper! Won't be around to feel the consequences right?
So probably my last supper would be a buffet of different breads and cheeses to start, then mains of glorious meats cooked to garlicky perfection with sides of sweet potato fries, cauliflower cheese, and all the veg I could desire (I like my veg). Followed by desserts of every type of cake imaginable and lots of ice cream! All washed down with my favourite cocktails and apple juice if I need a little break from the alcohol.
If anyone doesn't think that sounds like heaven then I don't need your kind of negativity in my life :p
