I got back into blogging and have created a website.

Check it out here: Rose Tinted Life

it's pretty bare at the moment with only my first blog entry but I promise I will fill it with more and more things soon. I plan on adding a gallery for my photography and graphic work. I'm also going to do a monthly video blog of what I've been up to for that month. I just need to find my camera or save up for a camera tongue

In other news I'm keeping a close eye on member review at the moment kiss

I'm looking for some unsigned (or even signed) bands that would like to donate their music to my video's for free. I will include a credit in the video and a link to your website in the blog. If you're, or know anyone who might be, interested please email me at rosetintedlife@me.com

Second to that if you would like any gig photo's for free I'm getting back into it so email the above address if you have a gig in London. The only payment I request is free entry to the gig as I can't afford much right now. I don't expect travel expenses to be covered, I'm happy to pay my way there smile

Excellent, now I can hear about the snippets of your life you care to share after my time here runs out. You sound like the kind of photographer I would have been if I'd kept the habit, but these days I'm more interested in the music/video bit. It's been on my mind ever since youtube had to start muting stuff that had music from soundtracks owned by one corporate asshole gestalt or another. It bugs me that the people who wrote the music don't own or control it...

*glances at sets* Hmm, sounds familiar.

Anyone who's been part of a creative process that involves more than one person should know that all kinds of cool things can happen as ideas bounce between them. Seeing your work being used in a new and unexpected way can be good for your growth as an artist, and even if you don't like what's been done with it, you can appreciate it for exposing your work to a wider audience. So it seems to me that the record companies are sabotaging themselves whenever they silence the work of the musicians they supposedly represent.

The Creative Commons copyright license is something all new musicians should take a look at.

I'm excited to see your set! It's been such a long time since your last. x
