Vail just announced that on opening day the gondola, born free, vista bahn, wildwood, and mountain top chairs will all be open! are you fucking kidding? i'm so stoked. no one run bullshit this year. that's like half the frontside turning. fuck yeah!

Vail announced today that chairs 7 (game creek bowl) and chair 11 (northwoods) will also open increasing opening day terrain from 550 acres to 1150 acres. FUCK YEAH

hard to say. we're getting good snowfall right now. I think Breck got 28" this week. We're getting good storms this week so opening day at Vail shouldn't be too icy.

i was a little worried waking up yesterday to start the last leg of the drive. there was a winter storm warning for the mountains and snow was in the forecast from 6am through the late night. i was really really dreading the thought of spending another night NOT in my bed.

on a snow/driving related note:
I hate carless drivers especially when it comes to snow. I was taking my bestie up to the mountain to teach her how to board... We ended up getting caught in a blizzard. I was driving my dads truck which isn't the best snow vehicle, it's a small 4wd truck but the tires are shit. So I was being extra cautious driving down the pass and I had people passing me (I was keeping right so they could) and these jackoff's in their lifted trucks & jeeps were flying down passing me. What happens when I get to the bottom? Oh yeah they're flipped to the right side. Both a jeep and a truck; I had to just shake my head and laugh.

gotta love idiots.

i am currently stoned and watching MNF in my crappy motel room in North Platte, NE. I drove 10 hours today, a little over 750 miles. I am in my third state. tomorrow i have about 360 miles to drive to vail and then its all over.

survived the wedding. actually had a pretty good time. saw some people that i forgot i had met before, so it was fun to reconnect and celebrate with everyone. daylight savings time has never been more awesome than it was this morning.

going to a wedding in naperville tonight. i had really wanted to bring a date to this one since i'll pretty much only know the bride and groom. its a little tough to bring a non girlfriend date all the way from colorado though so i'm going alone. i figure i'll get drunk, have some fun, and pass out in my hotel.
