i am starting to get a little frustrated. i'm new and still unfamiliar, but don't seem to be getting much help from my overlords. trust me, i want to succed, i can do the work no problem when given the tools to succed. who knows if i'll ever get them. being talked down to about preparing an item i was never shown how to do is not something that sits well with me. i have asked, for three days now, for copies of the recipes i will need so i can familarize myself with the production and not waste time looking them up. monday and tuesday night i was told they'd be emailed to me, nope. today i asked the chef if i could get them before i leave, he said yes, when i asked him for them before leaving he didn't have them. "can i just copy them down into my notebok then?" his response was that they're not even written down yet. seriously? even the shitty places i've worked took the time to make a recipe book.

the dinner guys have a whole BINDER filled with their recipes.

when i've got things that have to be prepped, and then cooked for an hour, then cooled before i can use them and only have 2.5 hours to set up, it would help to know these things in advance.

no one has run through protocall of ordering items with me, no one has given me a detailed explaination of where things are stored.

i'm not asking for easy work. i'm not asking to be babied. all i want is the necesscery tools to help me be more effiecent and successful.

maybe i'm just used to working for guys that are much more organized?
