Silverstein was great last night. good mix of songs. its nice that after all these years we haven't lost touch even though we only see each other when they tour through where ever i'm living at the time. hopefully one day i'll go to toronto so they can show me their home turf, plus its a city i've always wanted to visit.
so it was a good show and a good visit with the boys. found out that Bill broke his edge and started drinking a few months ago. i guess he got real hammered in SLC on monday and wasn't feeling that well tuesday. next time we'll share a drink. i can always count on shane, neil, and josh for a good party and last night was no exception. lots of bottles clinking last night.
really the coolest thing has been seeing them go from little known band to well known band. from broken down vans, to nice vans, to full on tour buses. from 20 kids in a room in iowa the first time i met them to seeing a few hundred kids sing every line to their songs.
also got to meet paul's wife who was along for a little bit of the tour. she's very lovely and seemed nice, but we didn't talk much. the two of them kind of kept to themselves which is understandable as she was flying out today.
stopped in denver on my way back to vail to have lunch with my friend Jamie who was in denver visiting another friend. she and i went to Iowa together and were great friends while in school. she graduated in 2003 and almost immediately went overseas to fulfill her Air Force commitment. she JUST got discharged and back to the states a few months ago. it was great catching up and spending time together. it was the first time we'd seen each other in 7 years.
