May 16 Arrive in Paris at Charles de Gaulle airport. Shuttle bus to Roissy Rail Station. Take RER train to Gare du Nord metro stop. Take to Jaures metro stop. Walk to Peace and Love Hostel. Use local metro and busses in Paris.
May 17, 18, 19, 20, Full Days in Paris (day trip to Versille one day)
May 21 check out of Hostel 9am. Half day in Paris?
Travel to Caen in Normandy (departs from Gare St-Lazare) arrive late afternoon. (Jaures metro stop take 5 Gare de lEst station to 7 line. At 4th stop (Chaussee d Antin La Fayette) transfer to 9 line for ONE stop(Havre Caumartin) take line 3 towards (Pont de Laeallois Becon = end of line) ONE STOP to Gare St-Lazare. Check into Hostel (TBD)
May 22 Explore Caen , stay 2nd night
May 23 Check out of Hostel, travel to Bayeux(same train line as Paris to Caen) (home base for D-Day Beaches) check into hostel (TBD). Explore town on foot and Musee Memorial de la Bataille de Normandie
May 24 Full day tour of D-Day beaches. Use either D-Day Tours (Normandy-webguide.com) or BattleBus (battlebus.fr) depending on pick up point.
May 25 Check out of Hostel. Travel from Bayeux to St. Malo. Check in to Hostel (TBD) take bus to Mont St. Michel explore, stay in St. Malo.
May 26 Depart St. Malo FULL TRAVEL DAY. St. Malo to Paris(Gare Montparnasse station- #4 Metro to Gare de lEst) Paris(Gare de LEst station) to Reims
May 26 PM- Reims- Check into Hostel(TBD),
May 27 - explore Champagne Cellars in Reims. PM Depart for Epernay or 2nd night.
May 28 Option #1 take train to Epernay for more Champagne tours
Option #2 Depart Reims for Nancy Transfer to Dijon
obviously there are some blanks to fill in so far, but its nice to have a good start on dates, places, and sights to see. i'm sure some things will change on the fly but it'll be easy to adjust with a detailed plan.
