holy crap its cold out today. got back to China bowl today late (noonish) and was surprised to see how little it had been tracked seeing how it opened today. started my traverse on a cattrack that was also NOT tracked, which meant i had some skating to do. got passed the Dragon's Teeth (cliff band) and found a good spot to drop into the bowl. strapped up and started my decent. legit knee deep snow, fresh tracks, and ZERO ZERO ZERO visibility. it quickly dawned on me why no one was skiing back there. then of course rolling up the Orient Express to the summit of the lift and all it was a constant puff of 30mph winds and blowing snow. holy shit it was cold.
popped back over to Highline Express for some "warmer" pow turns which had a little better visibility but after four or five quick laps decided to call it a day.
now if only my apartment was warm!
