no storm yet. but the warnings were bad enough i didn't go to Denver and had to endure yet another annoying conversation about it from my Denver friends. i guess they win this round, but how can i go over Vail and Loveland Pass when there is 3-4 feet of snow and 50mph winds and a winter storm warning in effect on a day i would have to drive back for work? i wish they understood how nasty and dangerous the weather can get up here.
anyhow, went up and took some turns today. still not really crowded on Vail which is nice, but that'll all end on thursday for sure. they opened chairs 10 (highline) and 17 (Sun Up Bowl) yesterday so i got in my first turns in the Back Bowls today. snow was a little crunchy off of 17 but the snow off 10 was fine.
getting ready for the first big crush of the season at work this weekend. glad its here, 'cause funds are LOW.
