





well here's the deal. woke up, got the kit on, car packed, started to drive. then the rain turned into snow, then into sleet, then the wind picked up. and that's just in eagle-vail where i live (elv. roughly 7500 ft). today is supposed to be the brunt of the storm and we all decided that if its this bad already down here, then Vail Pass (elv. 10,600) is probably pretty dangerous right now, and most likely only getting more dangerous. so we made the decision not to risk life and limb for the white ribbon of death. first turns of the year might have to wait until i get back from chicago.
