its raining where i live, snowing flurries in vail, and past vail along 70 there is about 4 inches of snow. i know this because i just tried to drive to denver and a trooper stopped every car in line and had this conversation

trooper: "all wheel drive?"
me: "mmm nope, how bad is it?"
trooper: " you'll never make it"


so i turned around, only to come home and find out that Vail Pass is closed with no estimated time of reopen.
