had a great few days off. tuesday went out and partied after work, didn't go to sleep until very late thanks to a pretty lady.
wednesday did nothing but recover
thursday went down to denver to see my friend jason and the blackhawks/avs season opener. we had great seats, 16 rows off the glass near the avs blue line. it was a good game but the hawks lost in OT. after the game we went and got drunk.
stayed friday for the hell of it because i didn't have to be back at work until 3 on saturday because the restaurant had a buyout which means easy money.
got drunk, got hungover, drove back to vail early so i could sleep some more before work. so got back around 12:30 stoked to take a nap, about 30 minutes later my phone rings. its one of my coworkers "hey did anyone tell you that your schedule was changed and you were supposed to be here at 1?" FUCK. chef was a little pissed i was late, because we're "supposed to know the schedule" and i reminded him that i had been off for three days, out of town for 2 of them, and there was no way i could've rechecked my schedule. he lightened up.
at least we got out super early because of the party and i slept like a baby last night.
on another note.
its finally chilly again. summit county (loveland, a-basin, breck, keystone) got a pretty good amount of snow on thursday and its sticking, which means they're making snow at loveland and a-basin. i somehow got friday and saturday off so i'm hoping that they rock an 18" base by friday so i can snowboard this week.

at the avs game they were down 3-1 and tied it up. its only two games with a lot of new guys. Turco was crazy good in denver, the goals that were scored on him were third shots and i always say if your goalie saves 2, the defense has to take care of the 3rd shot by clearing the slot. by shot number 3 no goalie will be in position. give them some time to gel and i think we'll all be pleasantly surprised.
