record store day was a huge success for me, which means it was a bigger one for Tom, who got all the money.

i got my Hot Water Music 7", which i was all set to drive to Denver to get if the Vail store couldn't get it. but he got 6 copies, and i bought them all. 2 for me, one for my buddy Tom, 1 being sold to my friend billy, another to our mutual friend Scott. the last one will probably go to ebay.

also purchased were 7" by Against Me and Elvis Costello and 12" by Sonic Youth and Beastie Boys. The SY record is cool as shit, its a "hits" compiliation but every song was chosen by actors, artists, directors, and musicians. The BB record is the fancy new reissue of Paul's Boutique.

Vail closes tomorrow and i'm excited for the last day festivities. hopefully the weather won't be as shitty as it is today. the last four years its been 60 and sunny at the top of vail mountain. today its been cold with rain, snow, and hail.
