went up on beaver creek today. pretty much just practiced stuff in the park. i have zero experience in the jib department, and for the most part don't really care for it. but i used to skateboard and so i'm trying to figure out some of the easy stuff just to know how to. so i did my first boardslide 180 out on a snowboard in like 10 years. which is totally pathetic i know but like i said, not a park dude. it took way more tries than i care to admit but once i got it, i got it. Also started riding switch a little more (something i lost in the 3 years i didn't ride) and surprise surprise started landing 180's again. Its making the no pow days more interesting starting to relearn all that stuff again. That and my newly acquired Rome SDS flask. I'm a more technically sound snowboarder now so its coming back kind of quick. but the humility of 5 year olds slaying stuff way harder makes me want to stick to the tree runs.
going to Copper with a crew tomorrow to take advantage of the swinger pass. their trail map looks pretty sick and i'm real excited to ride at a new mountain. Dinner at Avondale after that and then college drunk in Vail Village.
