so now i'm in a bind. a good bind, but one none the less.

i interviewed at another place yesterday. a restaurant locally owned and in a Westin hotel in Avon. they offered me a job on the spot (which i asked for a few days to think over). Its a beautiful property and a beautiful restaurant. they do great food and lots of it. I would be a little more hectic than the small place and the menu changes seasonally instead of every week or so. but they do some cool stuff that i'd like to learn. they also have one of the most amazing kitchens i've ever seen.

the big thing though is that they do offer health coverage. I think i could afford to find a plan and pay 150-200 a month for some sort of insurance, but if i can't i don't want to be locked into that job. right now i pay 60 a month. its should seem like a no brainer, work at the place that offers benefits, that'll give me more hours, that i'll still be able to learn and grow at. for some reason though i'm still thinking it all over. I have sort of been made an official offer by Small Restaurant but have not seen an offer involving payment, I just know that they want to hire me. They called yesterday, but i'm making them wait this time.

I guess the reason i'm being so apprehensive is that i've been talking back and forth with the Chef of Small Restaurant for over a week now and they're very selective of who they hire because their crew is so small. So maybe i'm feeling like i'm being let into this tight knit group and shunning them before I even get there?

i don't know, its fucking weird i guess. i know that this chef is a pro and will understand me accepting another offer, but i'm pretty sure she fully expects me to take the job and now i'm not sure i will. puke
