my friend Taylor(left) who lives in Tokyo and myself (looking like a total gaper in borrowed snow gear and a shitty old board i had to rent from the little lodge we stayed at in Nozawa Onsen). small price to pay for a day of riding in japan! i have to wear my goggles when i'm suited up because they're prescription. how geeky is that!
if you didn't know there was a resort there you'd barely be able to tell just by being in town. its not like the US where the town is based around the ski hill. in the spring time at this mountain, the base of it turns into family farms. there are no ski shops that i saw, just a few cheesy souvenir shops, and zero giant hotels. we stayed in a small lodge where you share the bathroom with your floor and the beds are japanese style futons layed on tatami mat floors. it was run by a super nice dude named Mark from Austrailia.
I wear some kicks ass OTG's...lol
