so i hucked a rock today. it was about 10 feet or so. the landing was soft. but the landing was flat, and i leaned back waaaaay too far. i felt a pain in my ankle but it could still be moved and all that so i straped back in and followed my crew into nice tree stash. the first hard turn i did . . . killed. about 25 minutes later i was out of the trees, cat tracking back to the blue sky/tea cup lift area. got to the top of tea cup and limped around for like 15 mintues before calling ski patrol.
i had to get the sled ride down. i felt like a jerk off, but i couldn't ride all the way to the base. after about an hour at the medical center i found out that i strained my achilles. its not a serious injury, just a little tender. but now i won't be able to ride on tuesday . . . which is my birthday.
