went to denver last night to watch my Iowa Hawkeyes in the rose bowl and denver's iowa hawkeye bar. it was great. i was there with 3 friends from college and surrounded by likeminded people all while chugging as much coors light as i could.

they won, it was awesome.

i feel like shit today.

tonight we breezed through the most covers the restaurant has ever done at dinner service. 309 plus room service orders. it was pretty much a perfect service. for the first week of hitting high 200's of the season things have been going really well so it should be a busy but smooth winter.

finally some snow! about 4 inches in the streets right now and its still coming down. powder day!

It's snowing in Tahoe right now and it's supposed snow Sunday & Monday. I can't freakin wait. I'll be hitting the slopes Sunday-Friday I can't freakin wait!

Yeah that's what I've heard. I've spent a lot of time in Tahoe but I've never been to the Rockies although, I hope to next year. Like I said in the snowboarding group I'd love to go out there next year and work at/near a resort. I've been wanting to do it for years and I think it's time. I miss being in the snow more than just 10-20 days out of the year.

had a real nice day at Beaver Creek today. good snow, mild temps and NO LINES. I wore myself out by noon i was lapping chairs so fast. once things started getting tracked i did some park laps (and i NEVER ride the park really) but they have this 10' quarter pipe with a mailbox stall on top that i just love to session.

tough week of work and its only the beginning. we cooked for the owner tonight and he said it was "divine". its a big deal, this dude is a fucking hardass.

Vail opened today but i opted not to go. I'm hoping to have sunday/monday off so i can ride those days and apres in vail.

went to a super fun house party on friday and got tore up. a good night out with just about everyone i work with. of course it meant spending saturday hungover. i was so out of i didn't even realize that we had gotten like five inches of snow. college football and modern warfare 2 made it so i never looked out a window. yikes....

hit breck today. pretty fun. had lots of intertwining runs open so it actually felt like freeriding for the first time. A Basin you have one path to ride down pretty much.

no one that was hurt. my roommate knows one of the bar managers who was shot in the arm and will be okay. the person who was killed was 70 years old, two 20 somethings were shot in the arm and leg, and a 63 year old was hit multiple times and flown to denver, he's in critical condition.


i think people around here are just shaken up by it happening, its the first fatal shooting in Vail in like 25 years. The guy is pretty creepy looking and supposedly has post traumatic stress disorder from vietnam.
