So I ended up doing two shoots yesterday, one yesterday morning with the kids walk out from Lawrence High School (check out the blog from yesterday) and then about 3:30 I did another shoot for the We Are All We Have Tonight portfolio, the punk side of things. I was able to photograph the legendary Shane Murray. Now if you don't know Shane, I am not surprised because he really was the person behind the legends. He helped keep safe the legends among other things. He has worked with and for bands like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, White Zombie, Green Day, Operation Ivy, GBH, Rollins Band, Circle Jerks, DOA, NoFX, Fugazi, 7 Seconds, All, Descendents, Agnostic Front, D.O.A., Agent Orange, and Bad Brains just to name a few. So when I say legend, he is really a legend. everyone in the old punk industry and some metal knows this guy. I am just lucky enough to call him a good friend.
Anyway, he let me take a few photos of him yesterday for the project like I said, at the old legendary venue called The Outhouse which unfortunately is a strip club now (I mean the place only hold like 150 people, but even White Zombie demanded to play there instead of a larger venue, even after More Human than Human came out and was a hit). So we met up yesterday and this is what we came up with. Enjoy.
