So I know that I said that I would be doing more of a regular music blog, and I have to say that I am sorry for not doing that more often than not...but school work has kept me busy as well as the different things that I have been photographing over the past few months.
SO...back to the music. My tune has turned just a bit, from all punk to really going back after something that changed my life all together. It was crazy, thinking that one CD or album really can change someone's life, but there is one band/album that changed my life. When I was growing up, I was a 80's pop listening kid who turned to early 90s country. Yes, I kid you not on this. However, when I was about 12 or 13, an old friend of mine named Valerie, who I was attending a summer camp with one year (I also went to school with her) was talking to me, asked me if I had ever heard of this band, and thought I was CRAZY weird for not and so she loaned me her CD and my life was changed from there on out. I remember sitting in my room listening to the CD for the first time and was just mind blown. I couldn't get over the lead singer's gorgeous, angelic voice, and the guitar was like nothing I had heard up to that point. This was like 1994, and being young and innocient to the world of music, this was just out of this world. So this week, I would like to bring attention to that band that changed my life, opened up so much more to me and allowed for my pathway to open up to eventually become who I am today.
1. The Cranberries - Zombie
2. The Cranberries - Ode to my Family
3. The Cranberries - Salvation
4. The Cranberries - Ridiculous Thoughts
5. The Cranberries - I can't be with you
Yes it is a little odd to see this change from a country boy (and I was growing up IN the country, so screw you too. lol) to this to bands like Pennywise and Against All Authority, but trust me it worked...it really did. HOWEVER, let's finish up the last five music videos.
6. Pennywise - Fuck Authority
7. Hepcat - Can't Wait
8. Voodoo Glow Skulls - Charlie Brown
9. Union 13 - Life Story
And then, one of my all time favorite bands, that I am SO lucky to be able to see on September 20th,
10. The Casualties - Season of Mist
