So, some of you might remember that we have Guinea Pigs here, that we love them and that they are the best little buddies no matter what anyone else thinks (okay, maybe that last part was me talking, but still). I am happy to say that the other night they were kind enough to models.
Here are the photos.

I was about to leave SG for a moment when I realized that it has been a MONTH since I have updated here, which is sad because I am on here like every day looking at gorgeous women and looking/liking/commenting on all of your blogs. I guess it is time that I updated myself huh?
Well, this past week, I am happy to say that...

I am thinking about starting back up the Living with Sam project, and I will continue to do it while I am not shooting the We Are All We Have Tonight project. What do you think? If I do, these two images will be the start of the continued project. Not sure which one to choose between the two, but it feels good to be...

So, I came across this the other day on YouTube. It is a little something that I recorded three years ago next month. It was a part of a project that was tied to my Portraits of Latinx Identity project, one that was recorded at the local public library. It is interesting to listen to, and to think that it was because of this issue...

SO, I was wondering if I should post these or not, I am not as pleased with these as my newer images that I did this past weekend, but I guess I will, since I have been posting things all along. This is Adrian, a local musician and punk rocker, good person and fun to hang out with.

As April starts in less than 9 hours from now, and I am starting my 1 year into the "We Are All We Have Tonight" project using film...and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been on this wild and crazy past 30 years of a photographic journey. I have been SO lucky over the past 30 years of photographic work...

Holy crap...the weather has changed...for the better. It feels like fucking heaven outside, 60s and 70s, warm enough to sleep with the windows open and it is so fucking perfect.
In other news, softball season starts this Monday. Not sure how ready I am for that, but hey, I guess I will make it work.
I also am still hitting up the gym, trying to...

It is a hard day for me today. My little boy turned 18 yesterday...so he lived that long (yes, I am only 36, I had him when I was 18)...but today, he packed up his stuff to move in with his mother, who lives about three hours away in Southwest Missouri. It will take a lot of getting used to, him being away, but I...

So, today, being bored and just contacting my friend Piper to see if she was busy or what was up...did a quick photo shoot in downtown Lawrence, KS. From the time we had decided to do this shoot to the time that we actually got together today was like an hour between the two. And we took a few hours to walk around the area...

So, something happened yesterday. My friend Andrew P (who is also in the We Are All We Have Tonight collection) came back from Seattle to the Topeka/Lawrence area for the weekend and I was able to sit back and enjoy a drink and a little bit to eat for a few hours. It was fantastic.
I know that I said I would be a while, but in all honesty, I wanted to share this photo. As I said in a prior blog, I taught a portrait class back on Feb. 13th and had the students pair up to talk to a stranger and get them comfortable to do a portrait shot, a good and natural portrait shot of someone, not...
