Hi. I'm still in Santa Cruz as I write this. I've been up since 6 am because I can't sleep. I think I've been fucked up ever since I arrived here on Saturday. I came down to try to have fun and to try to think some things through, but I ended up drowning my sorrows in drugs. I guess I should explain and try to get this off my chest.

On Saturday, before I left for Santa Cruz, I had a long talk with my girlfriend. We've been together for over five years. We've been friends for about 11 years now. For the five years we've been together, most of it has been long distance. Recently, it's been getting so hard and we've both been so busy that it just started sucking. I couldn't do it anymore, and I guess she couldn't either. We decided to break up. I don't know if this was the right thing to do. It wasn't supposed to be like this. What happened to the fairy tale love story? I thought that used to be my life, but I guess everyone's heart will be broken eventually.

I apologize for bringing my troubles out for everyone to see. I guess it's up to me to get through this.
