I'm so happy!
My slam last night was a total success! A great turn out, a wonderful feature set by Jill Binder, and my new 'Acid Trips and Garden Gnomes Don't Mix' piece went over AMAZINGLY well. I was on a high until 5 am. Horay for insomnia!
I won't be slammin' again for a while though, as I need to save up two great pieces. I usually come with one really solid piece, and then use something I wrote a few years ago in the second round which feels very anticlimactic. Although this young kid Nate free-styled in the second round and it was so dope! This kid absolutely killed it, so now * le sigh* I think I'm gonna have to have my go at free-styling soon. Step it up a notch and such.
Last night was some of the best poetry that slam has seen in a really long time. Wow.wowowowow.
My friend Ritallin took some shots of the show. As soon as his gets his ass outta bed I'll upload them.
Update on the tattoo: Jimmy the tattooer responded to my email, loved the art and is super excited to do the piece. We're meeting next week for a consult. Woot!

is it like a "rap off" where you give your peice than someoen gives thier piece and the audience judges on whose was better? Never heard of it. But Congrats just the same. And best of luck to you on your next one.
