this year has been really, really, really rough on me. i hope it doesn't get any worse. i'm going with the idea that all my struggling this year against bad things that happened to me will pay off in the future. if it doesn't, well, i'll be way fucked.

it hasn't rained at my house in like three weeks besides a little sprinkle. somedays it gets a little cloudy, but it's pretty much sunny everyday. we need rain bad. the tomatoes are going limp, the cistern is getting empty and the yard is yellow and cracked.

today i realized that the fact that i don't have brain damage is a minor miracle.
sometimes, we're a lot luckier than we think we are.
sometimes bad things aren't as bad as we want them to be.
i can't wait to take this time off from life to get things in order to get things just the way that i want them.
