went to thingajig at havana. rode bike there. had to search for a hitching post for the iron pedal mule and then attempted to lock it with the clicker that wasn't on my key ring. had a little fun and met people that i couldn't remember the real or internet names of by the time that i left. i do remember that they were pretty cool, so i'm not pulling a rockstar, i just lost my short term memory by smashing my head against hard things too much. it was the first time that i'd been in a bar since i quit drinking, so it was a little awkward for me. most of the people there were looking at people but i definitely stared at the bottles of maker's mark until i was afraid i might be creeping 'em out.
i've just got to stay strong until june, then i can win my bet and spend some time with the things i like from kentucky. the goal is to be a good boy when i get to drink that sweet, sweet nectar again. i then rode home in the rain and got soaked. i wasn't too bummed, as laundry day was the next day and it reminded me to finish up my bike fenders made out of monster tall boy cans project.
today, i did laundry and nearly lost half of my underwear and a whole mess of socks by forgetting to take a load out of the washer to the dryer at the laundramat. i also went to ohio dreams extreme gnarlitude sports camp in back of the neck, ohio. the gang that was going to go and get rad was supposed to leave at 4:30 but the cat with the van feel asleep in the tanning bed, so we ended up leaving an hour late. the place was pretty cool, lots of fun ramps to go tall on. i had a blast zipping around like a cat on pcp on a bike and managed to do a bunch of good things. my ribs and cheeks hurt from laughing and singing so much. unless you've got broken ribs, that's a super good thing. the only bummer was that right before we left, i got a little too rad and got loose on top of an eight foot tall, eight inch wide wall. thankfully, it was two feet shorter on the other side, which was the side that i feel over to. after missing the whole ramp and landing on my side/elbow i was pretty stoked that a. i hadn't made my spleen or liver or elbow explode and b. i hadn't broken my hip. the end result was i knocked a lot of wind out of myselfand that i'll be walking like an old man for a while and that my left hip is still a bony ass skinny dude hip and that my left hip looks like the hip of someone that weighs a hundred pounds more than myself. i think that there's some bruising lurking around, as well but that usually shows up the next day. i was still smiles for miles, though.
that's all i have right now, i'm watching endless summer and it's the section of the movie that is in south africa and that requires my undivided attention.
aloha, mr. hand.
