Friday I was getting ready to go for my run and the DHL guy pulled into the driveway. I sat and watched him trail down the drive and pull up to the house, holding my breath the entire time. I have been waiting for 2 packages, although I didn't even hope I would get either before Monday. Suprise !!! It was my new lense, a 50mm 1.8. I was thrilled. I know that some people call this lense average, but for me it is pretty cool. I have had my first DSLR for almost 5 months, and this is my second lense.

I eagerly ripped the package open and went for a walk around the property. These are some of the pics I took

My eyes teared up when I saw this shot, spread out on a 14' screen it was mesmerizing. The freedom of a DSLR and a computer, 2 things new to my life, has definately piqued my interest and enriched my daily living so far

This weekend was interesting. Every day was magically champagne filled, I went out every night and all day today (Sunday). Good people, good times.

The first meal of the day consisted of escargot,foie gras & champagne. Not exactly what I would call breakfast food, I usually have toast and tea and some fruit....I am hip to variety though... The day progressed into lots more champagne and oysters here

I ended up in a complex philosophical discussion on Kant's Theory of Knowledge, and how it interacts with current day 'String Theory", can we still argue that it is synthetic? Really, it just becomes semantical at all boiling points. We really don't know shit and yeah, I know I am a dork.

I personally think it is ridiculous. Who the hell is gonna wash dishes and peel potatoes in all the restaurants in this country. 80% of kitchen staff are Mexicans, and most of them fear "la meegra".

How fucked up is it to propose building a wall along the border? Fucked up!!! I don't even wanna start divulging my feeling for Mr W and his foreign policies....or his tax proposals..or his not so secret relations in Dubai....who do u think is making gas cost $3 a gallon ??

..... I have a soft spot in my heart for most mexican immigrants....I also remember what it felt like to be a refugee from another country and worry about getting legal status.....


Funny - I also got raped by a renegade saute pan on Sat night, the handle somehow slipped into my jacket and burned me on my stomache, right on the soft white underbelly ;-) Kinda sukked, I have been burned in strange places, including my bum, but never there...
