Fucking last night I had it out with my best friend because I told him I can't hang out with him anymore because of his drug addiction. I myself am recovering and have been sober for quite sometime now. for the past two years i've only known him high because we did everyday and now that Im sober i cant stand to see him anymore. I told him that he needed help and that alot of people have had it with his obsession to constantly get high and that he has changed drastically. upon telling him that, he told me to go fuck myself when all i wanna do is help him. Drugs has already ruined part of my life and I dont want to see that happen to him. has anyone dealt with this situation before? I have no idea what to do.

Good on you for standing up for what is best for you! I hope your friend gets the help he needs. Hopefully your friendship and his need for you as a friend will be stronger than his love for drugs. If it's not, it's sad, but you don't need someone in your life that is going to bring you down.
