So another day...another tin can to crush to bring to the bottle depot.
I'm listening to a new disc I received in the mail today...another perk to being Promotional Director for a radio station. The band is called Neuosonic, and the disc is "Drama Queen." Not a bad disc...part of the Bodog Music family...which puts out some good stuff.
So here's the story of Famous Shamus and the Adventures of the Uncertain Job position.
I was so frustrated after hearing that the station and all it's backwards thinking, was going to dissolve the Promotions Dept (which I am the only member of) for the Calgary Station. You see...the company has 2 other stations in Edmonton which is where the head office is. What they decided to do, is have the Edmonton Promotional Director take over the Calgary Station...making my position disappear....
However...the Promotional Director up in Edmonton is also fed up with the backwards thinking of the company...and has decided to quit. This leaves me. The announcement was made today...and so far I haven't been contacted by anyone in upper management to discuss what will happen to me....or to ask if I want to fill in the now empty position in Edmonton.
So there's the rub. I can't afford to quit....until I find something else....and I can't afford to stay.
On a seperate unrelated topic....I've decided to get more ink. I have to...my body is craving it. I'm doing a dye job on my hair tonight....going red....but need something else to shake things up.
Fuck. What a world we live in. Here's me complaining about my job...when there are people who would do anything for it.
