My book came in today! "The Age of Turbulence" by Alan Greenspan, one of the most influential people of the last twenty years. For some reason I'm more excited about this than most of my friends.
While most people seem to think intellectual expansion uncool, I love it myself and think it's hot when a girl's into it. If I had a type it would be a dark haired, dark eyed, athletic activity loving, passionate girl who's into knowledge. *nods affirmatively* Yupp.
I've been pondering the biological wiring that causes powerful connections between people. Why on earth do we find beautiful what we do? What causes an electric connection between two strangers? In a married couple? It's easy to say, for the propagation of the species, but how does it work? Out of all the possible things in the universe, how does our wiring make possible such focused attractions?
This reminds me of just how primitive our understanding of the human body really is.
